Italian pop and R&B singer Valerio Scanu was born on April 10, 1990 in La Maddalena, Sardinia, Italy. He had an intention to pursue a music career at a very early age and when he was seven years old, he took part in a TV contest Canzone sotto l'albero. He took third place in this contest. During his teens he went on to take part in music contests. He came first at Bravo Bravissimo in 2002 and came second at Amici di Maria De Filippi TV contest in 2008. 2009 saw his debut extended play titled Sentimento. The album was supported by three singles – the title track Sentimento, Dopo di Me and cover song Listen (originally performed by Beyonce). Scanu’s popularity grew up even more when he won Sanremo Music Festival with his song Per Tutte le Volte. His debut studio album Per tutte le volte che... was released in 2010.
