Jamie Foxx (birth name Eric Marlon Bishop) is an American hip-hop singer, actor and stand-up comedian. He was born on December 13, 1967, in Terrell, Texas, United States. He began piano lessons at age five. As a teenager, he was a part-time pianist and choir leader in Terrell's New Hope Baptist Church. He has won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a musical/comedy and has been nominated for several Grammy Awards. He rose to fame as a singer with his breakthrough album, Unpredictable, which spawned four singles, "Unpredictable" (featuring Ludacris), "DJ Play a Love Song" (featuring Twista), "Can I Take U Home" and "Extravaganza" (featuring Kanye West).
