Reef the Lost Cauze (birth name Sharif Talib Lacey) is an American hip hop artist. He was born on December 30, 1981, in Philadelphia, PA. He started performing as a battle mc during his education in high school. He began his professional music career with his collaboration with hip hop producer Sleep E. In 2001, he released his first album, The High Life, which earned the opportunity to perform in clubs for him. This record also received national recognition and was praised by local critics. He achieved mainstream success several years later with his second album, Invisible Empire, which yielded the singles such as "Intro (In The Caddy)", "Gladiator", "Follow The Drum", "Deadly Combo" and "The Puzzle".
