American indie rock band Vampire Weekend comes from New York City. The band was founded in 2006 and the current line-up composes of Ezra Koenig – lead vocals, guitar, Rostam Batmanglij - keyboards, guitar, backing vocals, Chris Tomson – drums, percussion, and Chris Baio – bass guitar, backing vocals. The band has released two studio albums and they have achieved mainstream popularity. Their last album Contra can be considered a break through. The album is supported by two singles “Horchata” (for free download) and “Cousins”. The album reached number one in many countries – on the Billboard 200 in the US, in Canada, in the UK (on the UK Indie chart) and in Ireland.
