Biography

American rock band The Promising Ring was formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the United States in 1995 and disbanded in 2002. During that time the band’s lineup changed only once – the original bassist Scott Beschta left the band and it was replaced by Scott Schoenbeck. Other band members were Jason Gnewikow (guitar), Davey von Bohlen (guitar, vocals), and Dan Didier (drums). The band’s style can be described as emo during their early career and later works can be classified as indie pop. For example you can compare the very first album 30 Everywhere (1996) and Very Emergency (1999). You can download these albums by Promise Ring in mp3 from our site. Other band’s albums are The Horse Latitudes (1997), Nothing Feels Good (1997) and wood/water (2002). The band disbanded because of will of some members to continue their career creating other projects.
