American jam band String Cheese Incident was formed in 1993 in Boulder, Colorado, the United States. The band’s line-up hasn’t been changed since the formation and it composes of Bill Nershi(acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar, and electric slide guitar), Michael Kang(acoustic/electric mandolin, electric guitar, and violin), Michael Travis(drums and percussion), Keith Moseley(bass guitar) and of Kyle Hollingsworth(piano, organ, Rhodes, and accordion). During its career, the band has released eight studio albums. Their music can be called bluegrass with incorporation of different elements such as of rock, calypso, country, funk, jazz, Latin, reggae, and psychedelic. The band is also known as SCI. They have their own independent label SCI Fidelity and all their records have been released under this label. The last band’s album One Step Closer was released in 2005.
