Kenny Loggins (birth name Kenneth Clark Loggins) is an American rock, pop and pop rock singer and songwriter. He was born on January 7, 1948, in Alhambra, California, USA. At the age of 20, he founded The Second Helping band, which achieved some success with its several singles. It was active from 1968 to 1960. In the early 1970s, he met singer-songwriter Jim Messina and they both decided to form Loggins and Messina duo. As a solo singer, he gained popularity with hit debut hit “I Believe In Love" from his first album, Celebrate Me Home (1977). He continued his success with his following album, Nightwatch, which spawned the biggest hit, "Whenever I Call You Friend" (featuring Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac). This album also reached number 5 on the Billboard 200 and became his best-selling album to date.
