American hip-hop group Ugly Duckling was formed in Long Beach, California, the United States in 1995. The group members are Dizzy Dustin (Dustin McFarland), Young Einstein (Rodney Pleasant Jr) and Andy Cat (Andy Cooper). Their name reflects the feeling of the group members about their rank on the California hip-hop scene, as they thought of being outcasts. Some members like Andy Cat and Young Einstein represent themselves as Christians and some of their songs feature Christian themes. In general, their lyrics are intelligent and humorous pointing on the modern hip-hop obsessions like sex and materialism. The debut album Journey to Anywhere was released in 2001. The last one Audacity came out in 2009. During their career, they have released quite many singles including “Smack”, “Left Behind” and others.
