G.Love is an American frontman from Philadelphia. He was born on October 3 in 1972. G.Love is his moniker and his real name is Garrett Dutton III. Now Dutton plays in the band G. Love & Special Sauce. Their genre is an alternative hip-hop. Dutton began playing the guitar when he was 8. He wrote his first song when he was in the ninth grade. G.Love's vocal career began in the bars of Philadelphia. There he met drummer Jeffrey Clemens. It was in 1993. Soon, they started to perform as a duo. In 1994, they were joined by bassist Jim Prescott and released their self debut album. Garrett Dutton released 3 solo albums (The Hustle, Lemonade, Oh Yeah) and 11 albums with the band G.
