American Christian rock group Casting Crowns was formed in Daytona Beach, florida, United States in 2004 by youth pastor Mark Hall. The band members are Hector Cervantes (electric guitar), Juan DeVevo (acoustic guitar, electric guitar), Melodee DeVevo (violin, female vocalist), Megan Garrett (piano, keyboards, backing vocals), Mark Hall (lead vocals), Chris Huffman (bass) and Brian Scoggin (drums). The band has achieved quite a lot in their music career. They have released four studio albums which charted very high. The Altar and the Door (2007) debuted at number 2 in Billboard 200 Albums which is the highest debut for a Christian band without crossover promotion.
