A Fine Frenzy, birth name Alison Sudol, is an American alternative singer-songwriter and self-taught pianist, born on December 23, 1984 in Seattle, Washington, the United States. Since her childhood she was into music and was listening to a wide range of musicians including Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald. She finished school at the age of 16 and was quite nervous about attending a college at so young age, so she decided to take some years and to master herself in music. At the age of 18 she formed her band Monro, but eventually she turned to a solo career. Her debut album One Cell in the Sea was released in 2007 and entered the Billboard 200 peaking at number 91.
