R&B: Soul (1156)
American R&B band Mint Collection was formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1989. The original line-up composed of lead singer (and in-studio drummer/percussionist) Stokley Williams, bassist Ricky Kinchen, guitarist Homer O'Dell, pianist Larry Waddell, keyboardist Keri Lewis and keyboardist/saxophonist Jeffrey Allen. The current members are almost the same with exception for Keri Lewis who left the band to become a producer for other artists. The band plays music of different genres that includes no only mainstream R&B but also traditional jazz, rock-based music, Latin and Jamaican-based rhythms and even funk. The band’s biggest success is linked to their hit single "Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)". The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 (#6). Their second biggest hit is "Forever in Your Eyes".
