Chrisette Michele (full name is Chrisette Michele Payne) is an American soul, R'n'B and jazz singer/songwriter. She was born on December 8, 1982 in Central Islip, New York. Her first steps in music career were connected with different collaborations. She featured on popular hip-hop albums Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come and Nas’ Hip Hop Is Dead. In 2007 her debut solo album was released. It got the name "I am" and smashed the public with such hits as If I have My Way, Best of Me, Be OK and Love is You. She won Grammy for her song Be OK as Best Urban/Alternative Performance. At the beginning of 2009 she issued her second album titled "Epiphany".
