American piano rock band Waking Ashland was formed in San Diego, California, the United States in 2003 and disbanded in 2007. The band consisted of Jonathan Jones on vocals and keyboards, Ryan Lallier on guitar, Nate Harold on bass and Tim Very on drums. During their career, they released two studio albums and two extended plays. The group was influenced by such famous acts like Coldplay, the Pixies and others. Although they were under the great influence, the band could elaborate their own unique sound within their genre, combining emotional piano with harsh guitar sound. After the release of the debut EP I’m For You the band played at the Warped Tour 2004 and was noticed by several record labels.
