David Hasselhoff is an American actor and pop, rock and easy listening music singer. He was born on July 17, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S. He quickly gained popularity for his lead roles as Michael Knight in the popular 1980s U.S. series Knight Rider and as L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the series Baywatch. He also produced Baywatch for a number of seasons in the 1990s up until 2001, when the series ended with Baywatch Hawaii. He also achieved success as a singer. In 2004, he released his most successful album, Sings America, which produced several singles such as "California Girls", "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head", "California Dreaming", "These Boots Are Made For Walking", "La Isla Bonita" and "Country Roads". The album also contained covers of songs originally made famous by artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys, Glen Campbell, Burt Bacharach and Madonna.
