American indie folk singer-songwriter M. Ward, birth name Matthew Stephen Ward was born on October 4, 1973 in Newbury Park, California, the United States. He rose to prominence in Portland, Oregon and released six studio albums and one live album. The debut album Duet For Guitars #2 was released in 1999. At that time, he was a member of the band Rodriguez who released their album in 2000. However, Ward focused on his solo career and next year saw hit next album End of Amnesia. He collaborated with the band Bright Eyes playing guitar for one of their recordings. This collaboration turned into the project called Masters of Folk (founded by Ward and Oberst). Besides this, Ward has another project, this time with Zooey Deschanel. Their band is called She & Him. Ward’s last studio album is Hold Time. You can download this album by M.
