American Christian hip-hop, rock and rapcore artist, singer-songwriter, music producer and author Kevin Michael McKeehan, better known under his stage name TobyMac was born on October 22, 1964 in Fairfax, Virginia. He is one of the first Christian rappers. He rose to fame as a member of a very successful trio DC Talk who won Grammy Award four times. In 2000, the band was put on hold and TobyMac decided to pursue a solo music career. The debut album Momentum was released in 2001. The album was praised by the critics and received five Dove Awards and gained Grammy nomination. Eventually, he won Grammy Award for Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album (Alive and Transported). The album Tonight was released in 2010. It spawned such singles like "City on Our Knees", "Showstopper", "Get Back Up" and "Funky Jesus Music".
