Ben Lee (birth name Benjamin Michael Lee) is an Australian indie pop and folk musician and actor. He was born on 11 September 1978, in Sydney, Australia. At the age of fourteen, he began his career as a musician with an Australian indie rock band Noise Addict. When the band broke up, he started his solo career. He became popular as a solo singer in 1998 with his third and breakthrough album, Breathing Tornados, which produced several singles such as "Cigarettes Will Kill You", "Ship My Body Home", "Nothing Much Happens" and "Tornados". His best selling album, Ripe, was released in 2007. This album spawned the hit single, "Love Me Like the World Is Ending". The album also reached number 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
