Amy Grant, birth name Amy Lee Grant is an American contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter, media personality and occasional actress. She was born on November 25, 1960 in Augusta, Georgia, the United States. She began her career in 1977 and in 1982 she released her album Age to Age which became the first contemporary Christian music album to be certified Platinum. She reached the mainstream popularity extending her music genres and her best-selling album Heart in Motion is more pop oriented, that’s why she could reach the mainstream audience. She continued her success with a follow up album House of Love where she also mixed spiritual lyrics with catchy pop tunes.
