American rock band Augustana was formed in San Diego, California, the U.S. in 2003. The current band’s line-up consists of Dan Layus, Jared Palomar, Chris Sachtleben, Justin South and of John Vincent. The first group releases were issued by small quantities. The debut album Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays recorded in their home studio has 1000 copies and the Mayfield EP only 25. However the band is signed to Epic Records and they toured a lot with such well known bands like Switchfoot, Maroon 5, Snow Patrol, The Fray and with others. The next album All the Stars and Boulevards earned the success for a group. It was sold out on the next day of its release on the Best Buy website. The album spawned such hit singles as Boston, Stars and Boulevards.
