American scream, post-hardcore and metalcore band From Autumn to Ashes was formed in Long Island, New York, the United States in 2000. The current band’s line-up composes of Francis Mark on lead vocals and drums, Brian Deneeve on guitars and backing vocals, Mike Pilato on bass and backing vocals, Rob Lauritsen on guitars and Jeff Gretz on drums and vocals. 2001 saw the band’s debut album Too Bad You’re Beautiful. The album didn’t enter the charts but it was noticed by critics and became very popular on the underground music scene. The album featured non-typical for such bands ballad “Chloroform Perfume” and ten-minute epic song “Short Stories With Tragic Endings” ending with great female vocals.
