American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Todd Rundgren, birth name Todd Harry Rundgren was born on June 22, 1948 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the United States. He began his career in a garage rock band Nazz. The group didn’t gain any mainstream success though some of the songs became minor hits, like “Open My Eyes” and “Hello It’s Me”. In 1969, he left the band and embarked on solo career. Later he recorded again the song “Hello It’s Me” which is his biggest hit to date and most people associate him with this song. Besides from singing, he produced many albums for such artists like New York Dolls, Meat Loaf, Patti Smith, Cheap Trick, Shaun Cassidy and many others. He released his last album Arena in 2008.
