Marques Houston, birth name Marques Berrett Houston, was born on August 4, 1981 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. He’s an American R & B singer and actor of Afro-Mexican origin. He began his career in 1992 in the r&B band Immature which changed the name for IMx later. The band split in 2002 and Houston pursued a solo career. In 2003 he released his debut album MH (stands for Marques Houston) which reached number 20 on the Billboard 200 and number 5 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. His next album Naked was released in 2005, this time it did better on the Billboard 200 peaking at number 13. The last his album Veteran is his best-charting album debuting at number 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums and peaking at number 5 of the Billboard 200.
