American rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd was formed in Jacksonville, Florida, United States in 1964. The original band members were Ronnie Van Zant (vocals), Allen Collins (guitar) and Garry Rossington (guitar). The band was dissolved in 1977 due to the death of several members in plane crash including the band leader Ronnie Van Zant. Before this tragic even the band achieved the mainstream success and released three consecutive Platinum albums and the first two ones were certified 2 x Platinum.
