Linda Ronstadt, birth name Linda Maria Ronstadt was born on July 15, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona, the United States. She is an American singer-songwriter and one of the forerunners of country rock having won eleven Grammys. Her fans and music critics called her “Queen of Country Rock” and after Janis Joplin had died, they called her “Queen of Rock”. She has recorded thirty albums, and reached the top five of the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 for many times. She toured with such star like Neil Young and her session musicians created The Eagles band, the most commercially successful band in the American history. In 1980, she changed her music style and recorded several “retro pop” albums with Frank Sinatra but returned on the tops of the charts at the end of 1980s.
