ROck: Alternative (491) Rock (8554)
American post-grunge band Candlebox was formed in Seattle, Washington, the United States in 1991. The band’s line-up was changing over the years and the current band members are Kevin Martin (vocals, guitar), Peter Klett (guitar), Scott Mercado (drums), Adam Kury (bass) and Sean Hennessy (rhythm guitar). The original band members are not from Seattle, that’s why some people didn’t like them saying they came there only to sign with a label. Actually the band’s music is rather close to classical heavy rock music than to grunge, which made them more commercially successful and appealing for radio stations. Candlebox are famous for their explosive live shows. They shared the stage with The Flaming Lips, Metallica and with others. They also were headliners of the Woodstock’94.
