American metalcore and hardcore band Bury Your Dead (BYD) was formed in 2001 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the United States. The band was founded by Harmatia members Brendan "Slim" MacDonald (guitar) and Mark Castillo (Drums) who decided to create a side project. Thus, they recruited some other musicians and began playing live shows across the East Coast. They quickly burst into the underground hardcore scene and gained the attention of Alveran/Eulogy Records. The band was signed and released their debut album You Had Me At Hello in 2002.
