American soul and blues musician and songwriter Susan Tedeschi was born on November 9, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts. She has been interested in music since her childhood and she formed her first band when she was 18. In 1994, she founded the Susan Tedeschi Band and that was the beginning of her successful career. The current band members of the band are Susan Tedeschi (vocals), Ron Holloway (tenor saxophone), Matt Slocum (keyboards and Hammond B-3 Organ), Dave Yoke (guitar), Ted Pecchio (bass guitar), Tyler Greenwell (drums). Tedeschi rose to fame thanks to Grammy nominations. She has been nominated for three times: as Best New Artists (2000), as Best Female Rock Vocal Performance (2003) and as Best Contemporary Blues Album for Hope and Desire (2006).
