Anthony Ray is an American emcee and producer, mainly known under his stage name Sir Mix-a-lot. He was born on August 12, 1963 in Seattle, Washington. Ray is the founder of the Nastymix Records. He is primary known for a hit single “Baby Got Back” which features his third album Mack Daddy. The album was released in 1992 and reached number 9 on the Billboard 200 and number 19 on the Top R&B/Hip-hop albums. It was certified Platinum mostly because of the very successful single. “Baby Got Back” won Grammy Award in 1993 for the Best Rap Solo Performance. During his career, Ray has released six studio albums. Two of theme went Platinum (Mack Daddy and Swass) and one went Gold (Seminar).
