French music group Nouvelle Vague was founded in 2003 by two musicians Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin. They are creative force of the band and invite different female vocalists to fill in. Some of them are Alexandra Pavlou of Spring and Suburbia, Mélanie Pain, Marina Celeste & Phoebe Killdeer of Phoebe Killdeer and the Short Straws. The band has released three studio albums and they specialize on creating covers of mainly New Wave and Post-Rock bands (Nouvelle Vague means “new wave” in French). They covered songs by such bands like Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, The Smiths, Dead Kennedys and others. Each vocalist covered the song she didn’t know to make it totally new. The band is signed to Peacefrog Records. Their last album is titled 3. You can download this album by Nouvelle Vague in mp3 from our site.
