American supergroup and a cover band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes comes from California, the United States. The group was founded in 1995. The current band’s lineup consists of Spike Slawson (of Swingin' Utters and Re-Volts)- vocals, Joey Cape (of Lagwagon)- guitar, Chris Shiflett (of Foo Fighters ex- No Use For A Name)- guitar, Fat Mike (of NOFX)- bass and Dave Raun (of Lagwagon)- drums. The band is also known as Me First or the Gimmes. Their name comes from the same-titled children book. They cover a big range of songs by different bands and singer-songwriters. Their albums are dedicated to different genres as well. For example, the album Love Their Country features covers on country and western songs by Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Hank Williams Sr., and others.
