American rock band Eagles of Death Metal comes from Palm Desert, California, the United States. The band was formed in 1998 by Josh Homme and by Jesse Hughes. They don’t play death metal despite their name. Homme’s friend was playing Polish death metal band Vader and he called them “Eagles of death metal”. Since that time that phrase caught him and became the band’s name. Besides Homme and Hughes the band composes of live members - Dave Catching (guitar), Brian O’Connor (bass, vocals) and of Joey Castillo (drums). The band has released three albums – “Peace, Love, Death Metal”, “Death by Sexy” and “Heart On”. The last album was released in 2008.
