Australian blues’n’roots and alternative singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd, born in 1978, comes from Torquay, Victoria, Australia. He has been interested in music since his childhood and began his music career in the band “Xavier and the Hum”. Later, he embarked on solo career. Rudd is skilled at many instruments including guitar, shaker, didgeridoo, Weissenborn slide guitar, Tongue drum, stomp boxe, djembe, harmonica, ankle bells, and slide banjo. During his career, he has released five studio albums, and several live albums. He has also received ARIA awards for his album Food in the Belly in the category Best Blues and Roots Album.
