Diana DeGarmo is an American pop singer. She was born on June 16, 1987, in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. She made her debut at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards, in 1997. She came to prominence as a participant of the third season of the reality television show American Idol. In 2004, she signed a contract with RCA Records and started recording her debut album entitled Blue Skies, which was released the same year. This work was praised by critics and it spawned the singles "Dreams" and "Emotional". Blue Skies also peaked at number 52 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The album's lead track called "Dreams" peaked at number one on the Billboard US Singles Sales Chart. Five years later, she released her first live album, Unplugged in Nashville.
