American guitarist, singer and songwriter David Crosby, birth name David Van Cortlandt Crosby was born on August 14, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. He is the founding member of such popular bands like The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. These bands achieved significant popularity and Crosby was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the outstanding contribution to music that was achieved when he was a member of these bands. Crosby is known for his solo career as well. He has released five studio albums and one box set. The debut solo album If I Could Only Remember My Name was released in 1971. The last album King Biscuit Flower Hour came out in 1996. The debut album was recorded with help of the musicians from different bands including Santana, Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane.
