American guitarist and singer-songwriter Stephen Arthur Stills, better known as Stephen Stills was born on January 3, 1945 Dallas, Texas, United States. He is considered to be one of the best contemporary guitarists and he is ranked number 28 in the list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time made by the Rolling Stone. He plays in such styles as rock, folk rock, alternative country and blues rock. Stills rose to fame when he was a member of such bands like Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash. He achieved the multi-platinum status with the latter. Meanwhile, he began his solo career. He released 15 studio solo albums. The debut eponymous album came out in 1970.
