Jocelyn Eve Stoker, known under her stage name Joss Stone, was born on April 11, 1987 in Dover, Kent, England. She is an English R&B and soul singer-songwriter, poet and actress. During her career Stone has sold more than 10 million albums all around the world and won two BRIT Awards and one Grammy Award. She gained the popularity in 2003 when she released her debut multi-platinum album The Soul Sessions. Her second album Mind, Body & Soul topped the UK Albums chart during one week and went on multi-platinum as well. Her last album Introducing Joss Stone was certified Gold in the U.S. As an actress, Stone debuted in the fantastic movie Eragon released in 2006.
