Jamaican reggae musician and humanitarian Damian Marley, birth name Damian Robert Nesta Marley, known also as Junior Gong, was born on July 21, 1978 in Kingston, Jamaica. He is the only son of reggae icon Bob Marley and Miss world 1976 Cindy Breakspeare. His moniker Junior Gong comes from his father’s nickname Tuff Gong. During his career Damian has released four studio albums. His second album Halfway Tree won 2002 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. His follow up album Welcome to Jamrock won two Grammies and made him the only Jamaican artists to get two Grammies during one evening. His last album Distant Relatives has been recorded with Nas and was released in 2009. Damien’s song “One Loaf of Bread” featured FIFA 09 Soundtrack.
