Chayanne, birth name Elmer Figueroa Arce is a Puerto Rican Latin pop singer, born on June 28, 1968 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. He rose to fame as a member of a pop group Los Chicos which reached the mainstream success having several hit singles in top 5 of the charts. The group broke up in 1984 and Chayanne decided to start his solo career. At the beginning, his albums didn’t enter the charts but later he achieved success among Latin audience. For example, many of his albums were certified Platinum in Argentina. Many of his songs reached number one on the Hot Latin Tracks. Some of them are Si Nos Quedara Poco Tiempo, Cuidarte el Alma, Un Siglo Sin Ti, Y Tu Te Vas, Yo Te Amo, Dejaria Todo and others. He also collaborated with many artists, like Vanessa Williams, Anna Oxa, Ruben Blades, Jennifer Lopez etc. His last album is De Piel a Piel.
