Charlie Parker (August 29, 1920 – March 12, 1955) was an American jazz saxophonist who is credited as one of the most famous and influential musicians in the history of jazz. He is also often considered as a pioneer of bebop (form of jazz) genre. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, U.S. He rose to fame as a member of the Jay McShann's band. He is also known for his collaborations with various artists such as Earl Hines, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Christian and Kenny Clarke. During 1950s, he also performed with worldwide popular bands including Three Deuces and The Onyx. He came to prominence as a solo artist with his greatest hits such as "Take Five", "Anthropology", "Confirmation", "Miles Davis & Charlie Parker -A Night In Tunisia" and "Crazeology".
