Beenie Man, birth name Anthony Moses Davis, also known under such monikers as Ras Moses, The Doctor and The Girls Dem Sugar is a Jamaican reggae musician, songwriter, dancehall artist, producer and DJ, born on August 22, 1973 in Kingston, Jamaica. He began his career quite early his debut album was released in 1983. After that, Beenie Man put on hold his music career and came back only in 1992 with album Cool Cool Rider. The breakthrough to the international recognition happened with a release of his critically acclaimed album Blessed. It was released in 1995 under Island Records.
