A famous French composer Joseph-Maurice Ravel (March 7, 1875 – December 28, 1937) is known for the majority as the author of a great orchestra work Bolero. You can download it in mp3 from our site. Maurice Ravel is also a composer of many piano, vocal and chamber music which is characterized by subtlety, richness and instrumental effects. Ravel entered Conservatoire de Paris but left it because of controversies with director. In 1900 he joined the Apaches, a group of musicians, critics and artists. It included also Igor Stravinsky and Manuel de Falla. There he played his first masterpiece Jeux de l’eau. Ravel worked with such famous people as Dmitry Diaghilev and with Claude Debussy. Anna Pavlova, a famous Russian ballerina included Bolero in her repertoire. He also created a new music instrument eliophone which imitate wind sounds.
