Puddle of Mudd is an American hard rock, alternative rock and post-grunge band that was formed in 1992 by Wes Scantlin (vocals and guitar), Sean Sammon (Bass) Kenny Burkett (Drums) Jimmy Allen (Guitar), and currently consists of Wes Scantlin (vocals, rhythm guitar), Doug Ardito (bass, backing vocals), Paul Phillips (lead guitar) and Ryan Yerdon (drums). They quickly gained popularity in 2001 with their first and commercially-successful album, Come Clean, which yielded the band's biggest hits including "Control", "Blurry", "Drift & Die" and "She Hates Me". In 2003, they released their following album, Life on Display, which debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
