Phil Collins, birth name Philip David Charles Collins, was born on January 30, 1951 in London, England. He is an English singer-songwriter, keyboardist and drummer known as a member of the progressive rock band Genesis and for his solo career. Collins began his solo efforts in 1981 releasing debut album Face Value. The album reached the tops of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and charted in some European countries as well (Norway, Sweden, Austria). Two most successful his albums were released at the end of the 80s – No Jacket Required and …But Seriously. They spawned such hit singles like "Sussudio", "One More Night", "Another Day in Paradise", "I Wish It Would Rain Down", "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" and some others.
