German soul, R&B and hip-hop singer, songwriter and actor Xavier Naidoo, birth name Xavier Kurt Naidoo was born on October 2, 1971 in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He is of South African and Indian descent and singes mainly in German and occasionally in English. He tried to begin his career in the United States but failed. The debut studio album Seeing is Believing was released only in the U.S. but it wasn’t noticed by the majority of the public. The second album was in German and was released in the German speaking countries. He rose to fame immediately. The album Nicht von dieser Welt was certified two times Platinum in Germany.
