Wisin & Yandel are a Puerto Rican reggaeton and hip-hop duo that was formed in 1998 by Llandel Veguilla Malavé Salazar (Yandel) and Juan Luis Morera Luna (Wisin). Yandel (born January 14, 1977) and Wisin (born December 19, 1978) started their career in 1995. In 2007, they released their most successful album, Wisin vs. Yandel: Los Extraterrestres, which yielded three hit singles. It has been certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA Latino. In 2008, the album received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album. It also won the Best Latin Urban Album at the Grammy Awards of 2009.
