Other (10408) Rock: Hard-Rock (463) Rock (8554)
American hard rock supergroup Velvet Revolver was formed in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, the United States in 2002. The band was founded by ex-Guns N’Roses members Slash – lead guitar, Duff McKagan – bass guitar, backing vocals, Matt Sorum – drums, percussion, backing vocals, by Dave Kushner (ex-Wasted Youth) on rhythm guitar and by Scott Weiland (of Stone Temple Pilots) on vocals. But the latter left the band in 2008. The band has released their debut album Contraband in 2004 and broke up the charts with their hit singles number one “Slither” and “Fall to Pieces”. Other singles were “Dirty Little Thing” and “Set me Free”. The album was certified 2 x Platinum in both USA and Canada. Their follow up album didn’t reach the same success, though it was popular as well. Libertad (2007) reached number 5 on the Billboard 200.
