Vanilla Ice, birth name Robert Matthew Van Winkle is an American rapper born on October 31, 1967 in Dallas, Texas, United States. His spet his childhood in one of the poor areas in Miami with his stepfather, most of the time he spent on the street but he sang in the church choir till 15 years old. Vanilla Ice gained the massive popularity with his hit single number one Ice Ice Baby, which featured his debut album To the Extreme (1990). The lead single topped American charts and became the first hip hop composition to head the Billboard Hot 100.
