American third wave ska band Mighty Mighty Bosstones was formed in Boston, Massachusetts, the United States in 1983. The band’s line-up composes of Dicky Barrett (lead vocals), Tim "Johnny Vegas" Burton (saxophone), Ben Carr (manager, dancer), Joe Gittleman (bass guitar), Lawrence Katz (guitar), Chris Rhodes (trombone), Joe Sirois (drums and percussion) and Kevin Lenear (saxophone). The band is often called the originator of the ska-core genre as they mix third wave ska with hardcore punk. The band has released eight studio albums and overcame a long hiatus but they reunited in 2007 and released totally new material in 2009. The band saw a mainstream success when they were signed to Mercury Records. During that period they released such albums like Don’t Know How to Party, Question the Answers, and Pay Attention.
