The Ataris is an American pop punk and alternative rock band that was formed in 1995 by singer, songwriter, guitarist Kristopher Roe and guitarist Jasin Thomason. The band currently consists of Kristopher Roe (vocals, guitar, percussion, bass, drum machine), Chris Swinney (guitar), Aaron Glass (guitar), Bryan Nelson (bass) and Jake Dwiggins (drums). They quickly gained popularity in 1997 with their first album, Anywhere but Here, which produced several singles such as, "Are We There Yet?", "Angry Nerd Rock", "Let It Go", "Lately" and "Alone in Santa Cruz". In 2003, they released their most successful album, So Long, Astoria, which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200 and has gone gold since.
